Focus software for handheld laser scanning and straightforward data processing

The Focus Handheld software enables operators to intuitively complete handheld scanning using articulated arms or optical CMMs for both inspection and reverse engineering projects. Focus Handheld is specifically designed to easily control data flows with limited user interaction. The point cloud is built up during real-time with immediate evaluation of the specimen geometry against CAD or another scan. Focus Handheld is part of the renowned Focus point cloud software and replaces Kube software.

Focus Handheld software features

• Patented real-time rendering of point cloud data during scanning
• Remote menu navigation (e.g. using the buttons of an MCA measuring arm)
• Automatic sensor intensity adaptation to scan surfaces with varying color or high reflectivity (ESP – enhanced sensor performance)
• Uses sound as standoff indicator
• Support leapfrogging for scanning large objects
• On-line point cloud processing to immediately make partial results visible during scanning
• Record and play macros to set up a data processing library or speed up serial inspection
